        What Is Single Stock Futures?

        Single Stock Futures (SSF) are futures contracts written with a single listed stock as its underlying asset. An example of a stock that offers single stock futures for trading is AAPL.

        Just like any other futures contracts, single stock futures can be long or short for hedging or speculation purposes. Futures margins applies as usual with clearly defined Initial margin and maintenance margin. Single stock futures are typically physically delivered futures contracts with the actual underlying stock being exchanged upon maturity.
